About Carolina Fish Hatchery, Inc.
History
Carolina Fish Hatchery was established in 1982 by Dr. William M. Lewis. A pioneer in the
aquaculture industry, Dr. Lewis has spent over 50 years developing and implementing
advanced pond management techniques and procedures, many of which are still in use today
at Carolina Fish Hatchery and other fish farms around the nation.
The farm was purchased and incorporated by Philip Kaylor in 2005. As in the past Carolina
Fish Hatchery continues to be one the largest producers of live fish for pond stocking in North
Carolina.
Fish production
Our main office, hatchery facilities and grow out ponds are located in Turkey, North Carolina.
Operations consist of twenty eight one and two acre ponds that provide a large amount of live
fish for the pond stocking market. Fish are moved from our ponds directly to our customers by
delivery or pick up. We provide fish in both wholesale and retail markets. Our focus is to
produce healthy fish for pond stocking, our production and sales are solely based on fish
production and delivery.
